End to end automation for small components at the Kvasiny plant
Logio partnered with Škoda Auto to design and implement a fully automated warehouse for smaller components at the Kvasiny plant, covering the entire flow from supplier stocking to sequential feeding of the assembly line.

Outcome
The new solution combines 12 rack stackers and 4 robotic arms into a single automated system that replaces manual workplaces and streamlines material handling. The project delivers substantial annual labour savings and was recognised by the European Logistics Association.
Approximately
0 manual workplaces saved
Annual savings
0 million CZK
In total
0 rack stackers and 4 robotic arms in one automated system
About Škoda Auto

Initial challenge
The largest automobile producer in the Czech Republic needed a new automated warehouse for smaller components at its Kvasiny plant, covering the flow from supplier deliveries to the assembly line.

Project goal
Design and implement a fully automatic small‑parts warehouse that secures reliable sequential feeding of the assembly line and reduces the need for manual workplaces and related labour costs.

Solution
Designing and delivering a fully automated small‑parts warehouse
Logio designed the concept of the automated warehouse for smaller components and supported Škoda Auto with its implementation, creating an end to end automatic solution from supplier stocking to sequenced material output to the assembly line.

Solutions implemented
Automated & Efficient Warehousing
Intralogistics & Material Flow

Impact
End to end automation with significant labour savings
42 workplaces saved
The automated warehouse replaces 42 manual workplaces that were previously needed for small‑parts handling.
CZK 26 million annual savings
The reduction in manual workplaces translates into CZK 26 million in annual savings.
Fully automated flow from suppliers to assembly line
Material moves automatically from supplier stocking, through storage, to sequential output at the assembly line with minimal manual intervention.
Recognised by European logistics experts
The project received the Expert public award in the ELA European Awards for Logistics in 2018, confirming its quality and innovation.

We tackled many supply chain challenges
Central warehouse study for F. X. Meiller
Logio prepared a data based study of a future central warehouse for F. X. Meiller in Slaný, defining required capacities, suitable storage technologies and clear investment and space requirements. The study now serves as a strategic decision making document for the future shape of production and logistics in the plant.
Required storage capacities for the future central warehouse calculated from bills of material, logistics data and future production plans.
Investment costs and required warehouse space quantified as input for strategic decisions about the future production and logistics set up.
Supply system implementation for an automotive production line
New supply system for an automotive production line that connects five information systems, reduces inventory in production and speeds up material delivery to the line.
Lower inventory levels in production
Shorter delivery time from warehouse to production line
Stable integration with five existing information systems
