Handling Automation

MOTIVATION

We have a long-term cooperation with Radegast starting in 2012. But we are even more pleased that the outputs of our joint project to develop the masterplan of the brewery in Nošovice from 2015 have been gradually implemented. It was there that we defined the future strategy of the logistics areas. One of the outputs was the construction of a new warehouse hall using automation. The warehouse was to be put into operation just as the COVID-19 pandemic hit the Czech Republic.

TECHNOLOGIES TESTING, SYSTEM TRACKING, DEBUGGING, OPERATOR TRAINING

SOLUTION

The warehouse, with a capacity of 11,000 pallets stored in the block, is served by 16 fork-lift automatic AGVs trucks. This handles both the receipt of pallets from the bottling plants and the discharge from the warehouse for dispatch. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has limited the operations of a key supplier of the technology from Italy, who was unable to be physically present for all critical activities. We have become part of the ramp-up team and fulfilled the role of on-site coordinator, which included testing technology, tracking the system, debugging bugs, but also training the operators. All of this was necessary to get the technology up and running.

CONCLUSION

At Logio, we are able to respond flexibly to the requirements at very short notice. We have familiarized ourselves with the technology in detail, we have used our knowledge from our previous start-up projects and together with the customer’s key users we ensured the smoothest possible start-up of the automated warehouse.
