Inventory and promotion control for a Czech canned foods leader

Logio implemented VERITICO STOCK for stock management and optimization and VERITICO PROMO for promotion management.

Outcome

The project addressed inconsistent data and a rigid weekly delivery model. The result was a leaner fleet, lower logistics costs, and a more balanced warehouse workload.

Initial challenge

Inconsistent operational data and a rigid weekly delivery window made effective route planning difficult.

Project goal

The project goal was to reduce logistics costs and improve delivery efficiency while balancing warehouse workload.

Solution

Building a smarter delivery model

Logio analyzed the existing delivery setup, cleansed data, and used route modeling to redesign delivery days and routes for cost and efficiency.

01

Diagnose the baseline

Reviewed the weekly 6:30–12:30 delivery model and fleet usage across six vehicles.

02

Clean and standardize data

Resolved inconsistencies to enable reliable planning.

03

Model scenarios

Used distribution route modeling software to simulate delivery days and route options against cost and warehouse constraints.

04

Recommend and deploy

Defined the optimal route plan that rebalanced workload and improved vehicle utilization.

Impact

Full trucks, smoother operations

Lower cost to serve

Logistics costs cut by 15%.

Smaller fleet, same coverage

Vehicles reduced from six to five while serving 145+ stores.

Balanced warehouse workload

Deliveries redistributed to avoid peaks and idle times.

Better asset utilization

Higher use of remaining vehicles through optimized routing.

Scalable method

The route‑modeling approach can be replicated across other Coop units and retail chains.

Distribution strategy for donated ready meals

Logio helped Save the Food design an efficient distribution strategy for donating ready meals from canteens. A reusable scenario model supports a published guide on food donation and prevents hundreds of thousands of crowns worth of lunches from ending up as waste each month.

470 400 CZK monthly value of lunches that no longer need to be thrown away thanks to collection from 8 school canteens.
