Cost transparency across carriers
Logio analyzed historical collections and transport mileage to map real carrier costs for Elektrowin.

Outcome
The model isolated cost components, including tolls, and revealed their real impact on total transport costs.
Year‑on‑year toll impact
+0% on total transport costs
About Elektrowin
Elektrowin is the Czech Republic’s largest collective system for the take‑back and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. Established in 2005 and based in Prague, it operates a nationwide network of public and non‑public collection points in cooperation with municipalities, retailers, schools, and other partners. In 2024, Elektrowin reported a record year in collected e‑waste.
Founded in 2005
~12,000 collection points
78,115 tonnes collected in 2024
Initial challenge
Carrier rates were rising. Elektrowin needed to verify the real costs of contractual carriers by completed collections and mileage, and to confirm the actual effect of tolls on total carrier costs.

Project goal
Build a distribution simulation and cost breakdown to identify expected savings per carrier, support peer‑to‑peer comparisons, and provide a solid basis for price negotiations.

Solution
Fact‑based carrier cost and network simulation
We consolidated historical collection and mileage data, built a distribution simulation, and quantified cost drivers, including tolls, to verify real carrier costs and identify expected savings by carrier. The model enabled peer‑to‑peer comparisons and supported price negotiations.

Solutions implemented
Distribution Concepts
OPEX, CAPEX and ROI Calculations
Tendering & Supplier Management

Impact
Cost transparency and negotiation power for reverse logistics
Verified toll impact (0.6% YoY)
Isolated tolls showed a marginal effect on total transport costs, preventing over‑indexing in negotiations.
Negotiation baseline
Comparable cost benchmarks by carrier enabled fact‑based price talks.
Savings scenarios
Expected savings per carrier identified through modeled route alternatives.
Cost transparency
Full breakdown by route and cost component improved decision quality.
Resilience testing
Simulated processor closures to maintain service continuity.

A few years ago, we worked with Logio to select new carriers for specific regions. Even in this latest project, focused on evaluating carriers, we were convinced of their high level of professionalism and diligence, which was, of course, the main reason why we chose Logio for the second time.
Take control of store availability
If manual ordering slows your teams, we can automate replenishment and pricing with Veritico. Let’s talk about a practical roadmap to higher availability and lower effort.
We tackled many supply chain challenges
Distribution strategy scenarios for Plzeňský Prazdroj
Logio modelled the existing distribution network of Plzeňský Prazdroj and prepared several future distribution scenarios, each with a feasibility study and KPI impact assessment. This provided a fact based basis to choose a strategy that improves competitiveness and manages up to 80 percent of logistics costs while reducing the risk of multimillion crown mistakes.
Clear comparison of several future distribution strategy scenarios
Feasibility and KPI impact evaluated for each distribution option
Up to 80 percent of logistics costs addressed through the chosen distribution strategy
Distribution route optimization for Jednota Coop Jindřichův Hradec
Logio helped Jednota Coop Jindřichův Hradec redesign its distribution routes for more than 145 stores, cutting logistics costs by 15 percent and reducing the fleet from six to five vehicles without compromising service.
15% reduction in logistics costs
Fleet reduced from 6 to 5 delivery vehicles
Optimized delivery to more than 145 regional stores
