With plans to construct a new strategically positioned warehouse in Czechia, in the Ostředek village, they sought expertise from Logio to help them with the layout design of the new warehouse.

Solution

Aware of the availability of a large amount of detailed data in retail, Logio recommended using it as a basis for creating the optimal layout of the warehouse in Ostředek. The project began with analyzing the data to understand product specifics like location, turnover, weight, storage needs, handling, and transportation requirements. Additionally, the analysis took into account the arrangement of goods within the stores. This analysis paved the way for various warehouse designs, offering a comparison of technological and layout configurations. This process enabled us and dm drogerie markt to select a solution fitting their current and also anticipated needs, with designs detailing the arrangement of product groups and SKUs.

By integrating critical data and customer needs, we’ve developed a warehouse design that results in substantial labor cost reductions.
