MOTIVATION

Trane Technologies manufactures air conditioning units for buses, trains and light rail vehicles. After the merger of the original production with compressor production, the company was plagued by inefficient warehouse processes and insufficient storage capacity, which led to higher logistics costs. Logio was approached to help identify potential and propose action plans to optimize internal logistics.

SOLUTION

Most of the communication in production and warehouse was rather offline and lacked basic master data including packing regulations. However, even without a larger database, we were able to gather the information ourselves and recommended a complete reorganization of the warehouse and logistics flows and processes to the company.

CONCLUSION

The benefit of our recommendations is a projected increase in productivity of up to 30%. Although the customer is currently undergoing major changes, we are keeping our fingers crossed that they can implement our proposal in full in the future.
