Boosting availability and cutting dead stock in 130+ stores

Logio partnered with Traficon to implement Veritico Stock and centralise inventory management across more than 130 stores in the Czech Republic.

Outcome

The project focused on improving availability of high‑turnover items and reducing capital tied in dead stock. Optimised stock structures and managed inter‑store transfers helped keep bestsellers available while cleaning up slow‑moving inventory.

Initial challenge

Traficon needed to make inventory management more efficient across a rapidly growing network of more than 130 stores. The existing setup did not sufficiently support differentiated stock levels for fast‑moving and slow‑moving items.

Project goal

The goal was to increase availability of items with the highest share in turnover while reducing capital tied up in dead stock. Traficon wanted a central approach that would ensure goods are available where customers actually buy them.

Solution

Centralised inventory control for a growing retail network

Logio implemented Veritico Stock to optimise stock structures at store level, centralise ordering, and manage transfers of goods between branches so that products are always available where they are needed most.

01

Implemented Veritico Stock

as the core system for inventory management across Traficon’s store network.

02

Configured stock structures

for individual branches with a focus on items that drive the highest share of turnover.

03

Set up centralised ordering

so that replenishment decisions are managed consistently from the centre.

04

Enabled sophisticated management

of stock transfers between branches to balance inventory and improve local availability.

Impact

More available bestsellers, less dead stock

More A‑category items in stock

The share of A‑category items in total inventory increased by 11 percentage points, improving availability of key revenue‑driving products.

Less capital tied in slow‑moving items

The share of D‑category items in total inventory decreased by 13 percentage points, freeing capital from dead stock and improving inventory quality.

Centralised control across 130+ stores

Inventory is now steered centrally with the support of store‑to‑store transfers, ensuring products are available where customers need them most.
