Our automobile industry customer was struggling with an insufficient staff amount and the physical difficulties when manipulating the batteries intended for the assembly line. For those reasons, the company decided to robotize the battery sequence and invited Logio along as their long-standing partner operating in the automation and robotization industry.

In cooperation with the customer, firstly we came up with varieties of the robotic workplace concept. For the optimal variant, we conducted the business case, which showed a highly optimistic economic return of the project – 3.5 years. We then evaluated the technical task and roofed the whole project to the final realization of the project.
The final solution was a six-axis robot with a travel axis and a camera system. Thanks to the robot, the right component can be prepared and checked, but also removed in a non-standard position. The entrance and exit of the workplace was designed in such a way that would allow an easy automation of pallet delivery and transport. Thanks to this solution, the customer is now ready to implement autonomous AGV carts.
